This lesson was mainly about
different techniques that are used when playing a solo in funk. Again I
played from the 5th position, but thats just because I'm just to it. It
is ofcouse possible to play them from a different fret. Remember that
these were just some methods I chose. There are a lot more out there,
but these ones seemed the most important to me. This course material
will show you the name of the explained technique, the tab, and the way
the method is symbolized in the tableture. Practice them and sound more
proffesional in the future!
Bend
Here the note is bend till it sound like the note is
higher.

Slide up
Here you slide with nore from the 3th position till
the seventh. This is marked by the sign: '/'
E|------------------------4/6--6--6--4/6--6--6--4/6--
Slide down
Here the same happens, but now you slide down to the
5th fret. Marked by: '\'.

Pull-off
This method is also commonly used. Here you hold
your finger on the 5th fret and pull off with another finger from the
7th fret, without picking.

Vibrato
This is used to just give that extra effect to the
note you are playing. To do this you vibrate your finger up and down
when holding the note.

Hammer-on
Hereby you hammer with your left finger hard on a fret, so you will hear
the note without picking it
